 The steps to install the Tacoma Hood Struts Absorber Shock Gas Front Hood Lift Supports :

  1 – Identify the location of the existing hood lift supports/struts. These are typically located on either side of the hood and attached to the vehicle’s body and hood.

 2  – Use a sturdy prop or have an assistant hold the hood securely open to prevent it from falling during the installation.

  3 – Use a flathead screwdriver or a suitable tool to carefully pry off the retaining clips or brackets securing the existing hood lift supports/struts. Remove the old struts by sliding them off their mounting brackets.

 4  – Position the Tacoma Hood Struts in place of the old struts, aligning the mounting brackets with the corresponding attachment points on the hood and vehicle body.

 5  – Securely attach the mounting brackets of the new gas struts to the hood and vehicle body using the provided hardware. Ensure they tightened securely to prevent any movement.
